I've been making fork bending dies as custom tools for years, and I'm now offering them as standard items.  Once I gauge interest I'll likely stock several radii as standard offerings, but for now I'll make them in any radius you might need.

They're machined from solid blocks of aluminum with a 3/4" wide 90 degree vee groove in the face.  They're supplied with clamp blocks, clamp bolts and an adjustable threaded bending stop.  The clamp blocks are slotted, so you don't need to completely remove the clamp bolts if you're working on a fork blade with the dropout already attached.  The bottom face has three M10x1.5 threaded holes for mounting.

The attached photos show a 12" radius die about 12" long, and a 6" radius die about 8" long.

Price is $195.  Expect a lead time of 2-3 weeks since they're all made to order.

Ordering information and photos, along with example photos of different radius forks, can be found here:  http://www.alexmeade.com/Tools.htm

Thanks

Alex

I just wanted to give a shout out on Alex's great bending dies. I recently purchased the 6" die and find it puts the perfect bend into the Columbus Cromor Rando special blades to give me the classic french style curve. Alex turned my order around quite quickly too. I'm a very happy customer!

Thanks!

Guy

Any pics of the blade after bending?

Jeff,

Thanks for that.

As builders order dies of different radii, I'm soliciting photos of finished forks made with those dies.  I'm hoping at some point I'll be able to have a library of finished fork photos on my tools page to help builders select their preferred radius.

Thanks again,

Alex
