Django website with Flutter mobile app

Hi all,

I'm new to Flutter and this is my first post in this community. I need your help to understand this question.

We have an ecommerce webstie built on

Django with no REST APIs

Python

Vue.js

Postgres

We need to eventually create a Mobile App for the current website. Please let me know what should be my options here for creating a Mobile app? Based on my research so far that Flutter is the way to go for Mobile App development.

Also, if we use Flutter for Mobile App development do we have to discontinue to develop or add enhancements in Django based website because I read that Flutter app can be used as web app as well. In other words accessing website using Flutter web app and Django web app will be the same once the current website is created as mobile app using Flutter?

Hello Ram,

Since you already have a backend in django, i'll recommend for now that you build your REST API in python & link up to the flutter mobile app.

Once, the app has picked up, you'll then decide if you want to move the eCommerce site to flutter backend.
