Recommendation for code-signing certificate provider

Hi,

Does anyone have a recommendation for a code-signing certificate provider? 

In particular, I'd like to initially obtain a personal one to distribute a beta version of my add-in, before deciding whether to form a company around it.

Any good/bad experiences to share would be appreciated.

I've used Sectigo for a few years now and can recommend them.

The painful part, if you are applying for a company certificate, is the verification process, they need to confirm your phone number and it needs to be listed on an authorised directory such as Dun & Bradstreet.

Comodo was acquired by Sectigo a few years ago. When you buy Comodo, it's Sectigo who verifies your identity and issues your certificate.....except that it's cheaper through Comodo ;-)

Thanks for the tips guys. I'll contact both Comodo and Sectigo and see what they have to offer.

Do you perhaps know if the "non-EV" code signing certificates is worth the bytes it's printed on in terms of increasing trust?
