hi,
Lets say I have a BoM for Product A which usually consists of 10Kg of Sugar.
And sometimes when I produce Product A, sometimes I use 10.5Kg of Sugar instead of 10Kg. How do I do this on ERPNext?

In the production module, you must use the tool of production planning, you can make settings for each BOM.

So if I use production planning tool, I can manually specify how much Sugar I use (ie. different quantity than BoM)?

What if this Product A is not for Sale but rather a required material for Product X
So:
10 Kg Sugar makes 1 Product A
1 Product A + 100 Kg Flour makes Product X
Product A is a recipe which is why I want to make it as a separate product, Product A can contain other ingredients - not just Sugar
So:

You can manage this on Item data, you can setup "Is item for sale" and "Is stock item"

What I meant was...
In Production Planning Tool, we have to select sales orders but this Product A is not for sale (therefore there are no sales orders)

Hello Andri,
You can manually select Product A in item table of Production Planning Tool.
You can manually select Product A in item table of Production Planning Tool.
As received in email, you need solution where raw-material is not standard and varying all the time.
To address this, you should create new BOM everytime there is change in raw-material qty and output qty. When doing manufacturing transaction via BOM, raw-material qty and finished goods qty needs to be in same proportion.
If you don't want to track BOM due to always varying nature of raw-material, you can make repacking entry directly instead of Production Order.
Stock >> Stock Entry >> Manufacture/Repack
Just one entry will have an effect on raw-material as well as finished good qty which need not be in same proportion always.
