HI
My thoughts, I am sending :-
One of the reason oracle ERP is able to sell more is because the no of professionals, IT decision makers do not need to worry about professional leaving  the organization, skills are easily available in the market, what about open source ERP, One reason of IT decsion makers paranoid feeling is where they get talents and skills.

Why not have some training syllabus and study materials for (a) Functional Training (b) Technical Training. It keep it simple lets us not make it instructor based training. It is where candidate can choose the subject, they will have study materials and assignment. Once they finish the assignment certificate is given to them, and in ERP-next site there should  be a link where employers can validate the certificates. In this way the candidates can prove them self and employers have trouble free in selecting the proper candidate. To encourage the participation the study materials and joining the course should be made freely available

If the product have to be accepted, we have to have support professionals
Thanks
Joseph John

Joseph,

Thanks for the mail. Seems like a great idea - we have been thinking of this on and off - we are not sure if the timing is right yet.

If you are interested, we can work together to get this done. You can create the course, do training and we can run the "official" certification. This will be additional revenue for both of us :)

best,
Rushabh

Thanks for response.
I would love to, but I am not from ERP , my expertise is nill in the ERP area. my expertise is in Infrastructure solutions like Document Management, Portal Solution, etc.

But still I could start making a guide for "ERPNext for New Comers" based on my experience, then it could not be a text or syllabus. It could be maximum a log book of a new comer.

I have few friends with SCM  field, I could team up with them and check, if they can help me to write a syllabus for SCM using ERPNext

At this point I am not sure what can be done, but for sure I will be creating blogs, based on ERPNext exposure

Related to the idea of doing a guide for tech professionals, how about users edit the User Guide wiki on erpnext.org?  I would be interested in contributing. The User Guide is more for the business audience, if I understand correctly. Maybe need to charge part of the erpnext.org to a full Wiki platform.

Joseph,

There is a "Source" button on bottom of each page.

Here is the base folder of all docs files!
