When you say if I have configured emsdk correctly, what is it I need to configure? Or what path needs to be added to my PATH, the path directly to the libc folder?I'll give this a go when I get home tonight.

Yea, my emcc -v runs the sanity check and such fine, no errors. I'll try a few things when I'm home and report back.

No, you should just try:emcc -vAnd it should not output any error (provided that it finds emcc, but you say you can launch emmake, so it should work.
