Any rule language integrated with ELK?

Hi Group,

We are currently working with SNOMED CT ontology and we found ELK suits our need very well. However, another requirement of our project is able to use any rule language, such as SWRL, SPIN, Prolog, etc together with ELK reasoner to for OWL reasoning.

I wonder whether ELK support any of the rule languages? If so, I really appreciate your kind assistance in this matter.

Dear Azlinayati,

No, ELK currently does not support any rules (otherwise we would have
mentioned it in the wiki).

You might take a look at the following ISWC13 paper, where the authors
have used ELK with some rules, to see if you can do similar things in
your project:

Vadim Ivanov, Matthias Knorr and Joao Leite.
A Query Tool for EL with Non-monotonic rules

Thanks for your prompt reply as well as the pointer to the ISWC13 paper.

I'll review the paper and investigate the suitability of using the method used by the authors in my project.
