Hi all,

I know we all have busy lives but could people make an effort to announce stuff on the ElixirForum.com site too?  There was an announcement regarding the deprecation of certain Hex.pm mirrors--here.  I posted it up to ElixirForum.com because I felt it was something that people needed to know about.

I saw an announcement of Elixir 1.2.6--on Twitter.  As far as I could tell, not a peep on ElixirForum.com.  I'd take the point on posting stuff up there under Elixir News (which is where I think such announcements actually belong) but I don't have the necessary privileges.

Just seems a pity to say that we're going to use ElixirForum as our basic mechanism for discussions and then important pieces of news simply don't make it there.

Onorio, It has not been 3h since the release was made. A tweet takes 140 characters, you can expect an announcement runs a bit longer than that and should be done in a while. If you pay close attention, you will see we have announced v1.3.0-rc in the forum.

Sorry, José.  I did see the 1.3.0-rc1 announcement on Elixir Forum but I mistakenly assumed that the Twitter announcement had come a day or two after 1.2.6 was rolled out; I should have double-checked rather than assuming.
