Entities demo

Hello.

​I need to provide a way to support author profiles. Dspace-CRIS is not an option because I currently have a running Dspace installation. 

As far as I have read at https://wiki.lyrasis.org/display/DSDOC8x/Configurable+Entities, this could be done using entities, but I can't fully understand how it works.

Does anyone use entities as a kind of CRIS?  Is there a website where I can see how it works?

Hi Diego,

If you are still looking for a website that you could use to test DSpace entities, you are welcome to use the Demo Site: https://demo.dspace.org/home

It has all out-of-the-box Entities enabled by default.

Another option is to use our Docker scripts and install the demo Entities data set, so that you can play around with the Entities on your own machine.  For instructions on how to do that for DSpace 9, see https://wiki.lyrasis.org/display/DSPACE/Try+out+DSpace+9.   The same instructions also exist for DSpace 7 and DSpace 8 at https://wiki.lyrasis.org/display/DSPACE/Try+out+DSpace+7 and https://wiki.lyrasis.org/display/DSPACE/Try+out+DSpace+8
