i need immediate assistance

the normal backup to my memoires got corrupted somehow .
and each time i open the app i get a decryption error.
all my memories seem to have vanished.
in the sdcard/.memories folder i hav a few .bac files
the site for the app states : 
Check out folder /sdcard/.memoires on the phone. If there is memories.bak file or memories.db3.v<X> files (<X> must be a number), try to rename first memories.bak to memories.db3 file, force close Memoires via Android preferences -> Applications -> Manage Applications and restart it again. Memoires must be force closed, because the system caches the file for fast access. If it does not help, try the same with memories.db3.v<X> file.

but i hav no idea how to.. please help...its work related and i might get into trouble...

I tried it, but it helped to restore only half of the information. Change the filename extension. In "memories.bak" change the ending "bak" to "db3". Then go to settings-apps-memoires-clear data and stop the app. Open memoires and write your password.

First delete memoires.db3 file(or just rename it). Then change memoires.db3.bak to memoires.db3.

i did as you suggested. but nothing was restore.i got the welcome message to memoires  :(

I had the same, but i finally solved this problem. So there are a few steps.( if u did everything right with the db3 file)
1. Copy ".memoires" folder to your computer.
2. Write something in memoires, any note, and set a new password(!).
3. Connect your phone to the computer.
4. Delete ".memoires" folder.
5. Copy your first ".memoires" folder to the phone.
6. Go to settings-apps-memoires-clear data and stop the app (its important!)
7. Open memoires and write your old(!) password.

AS long as u see more then one message, simply try to reinstall with the password you had used with backup. You need to recall the password. Try the utility to guess password: https://sites.google.com/site/drodiary/file-cabinet/MemoiresDB.apk?attredirects=0&d=1
