Android USB Camera support

Hi,
We have a native webrtc app on an android device. Is webrtc support usb camera as a video source? How to implement video capturing from the USB Camera?

Any help is welcomed.

This is not something we have intentionally built or tested.. Please let us know how it goes.

We have come across some difficulties in capturing video from USB-cameras with the current means of WebRTC library. Do you plan to develop USB-devices support (for exmaple, for USB-cameras) any soon?

No such plans. Please file an issue on webrtc tracker with your use case, the result you get, etc... so we can keep track of it in the future... but no plans as of yet for external camera devices on android.

We hooked up a LogicTech C920 USB webcam to an Odroid C1 (android 4.4 ) running an android webrtc client we wrote. It worked without any fiddling. It may be a matter of what your cameras your android OS supports.

Eric, is your camera detected as /dev/video0 or as an /dev/usb*?

It isn't something I checked at the time and I won't have the hardware again until mid next week.
