After upgrading to OS X 10.9.2 and OSIRIX (latest versions)  it is no longer possible to view studies using Weasis through the web portal.
Weasis appears to function normally except that each download (via Wado) terminates unexpectedly ('Download interruption') and the downloaded files on the client
get deleted before Weasis can display them.

p.s. Note I was using https. I believe http works ok.

I suspect this issue is more to do with MAC OS X and OSIRIX than Weasis but any help will be appreciated. This looks suspicious - http://mashable.com/2014/02/25/apple-os-x-10-9-2/

The Osirix team reports me the same issue. It seems to be related to the certificate and Java > 1.7.0_45. It's difficult to follow all the new restrictions related to Java update. However, it is a good point that Oracle cares about security issues but there are many side effects.

The strange thing is that it appears only to be an issue on OS X Mavericks (10.9.x). I have a an OSRIX Web Portal with Weasis running on OS X 10.8.5 and that works fine with Java > 1.7.0_45.

I'm still trying to get to the bottom of this issue. The OSIRIX folks tell me its a certificate issue but I'm not convinced (yet!)- my certificate is from GoDaddy and verifies as good with several different checking tools. Basically the dcm4che2 dcmwado tool will download files just fine - using the same java libraries but Weasis always shows an interruption e.g

I've found the problem: it is due to the fragmented https stream. The magic number "DICM" was not found in the right position. This commit should fix this issue.
