The second beta release of Oviyam 2.0 is now available for download:

Features:

1. Now works with servers which do not have WADO like Conquest. Both C-MOVE and C-GET are supported along with WADO. While using C-MOVE or C-GET there might be a slight delay before images are displayed while jpeg conversion takes place on the server. When using C-MOVE a listener will be started with the AE Title: OVIYAM2 & Port: 1025. The DICOM server might have to be configured accordingly. (Note: since the alternative security mechanism has not yet been implemented, Oviyam 2.0 still needs to be installed on a dcm4chee server. This dependency will be removed in the next release.)
2. Improved multi frame support for XA and US. Playback settings are on track for improvement in the next release.
3. Search panel layout has changed and is now bound individually to each server tab.
4. Individual query result are maintained in each server tab.
5. Launch viewer page when double click on left pane image.
6. Provision to Edit server details.
7. Retrieve DICOM file for WL/WW adjustment using C-MOVE or C-GET (OsiriX compatibility).
8. Direct URL launch refinements.
9. Avoids duplicate C-MOVE/C-GET request for previously queried studies which have been converted into JPEG images in the server.
10. Display overlay data support.
11. Provision Internationalisation and Multilingual support in future releases.
12. Layout refinements.
13. Code optimisation to make it faster.

Note: iOviyam works in conjunction with Oviyam - both have to be installed on the same server. When accessing Oviyam from a mobile device, it will automatically be redirected to iOviyam. At present iOviyam supports only one server, the server it has been installed on. Minimum OS requirements are Android 4.0 or iOS 5.0. Testing has not been done on Windows 8 Phones or the Surface tablet - any feedback would be appreciated.

Features:

1. Mobile optimised UI for touchscreen smartphones and tablets.
2. Query by Patient Name, Patient ID, Accession Number, Birth Date, Study date and modality.
3. Customisable Quick Query buttons, configured in Oviyam 2.0 are available here. (Eg: Today's CT, Morning X-ray, etc.)

i downloaded the latest iOviyam2 for mobile, and run the application,

when i see the full image that time i got tools button in the right side corner, when i click the tools button that was shown me some tools like zoom, black&white& line ..blah blah... then when i click the black&white button that was showing some loading button, that takes too long time for black and white, even i didn't get any change , i saw that loading button always loading loading...

In conquest server, add a new AE Title with details of

     AE Title    : OVIYAM2

     Hostname : ip address

     Port          :  1025

In Oviyam 2.0 : 

     Add server (conquest) in Oviyam 2.0 Settings page with details of AE Titile, Hostname, Port, Retrieve Type (C-MOVE).

Switch over to main page. New tab will be created in main page. Select the conquest (new) tab and continue testing.

Please note, Oviyam 2.0 still needs to be installed on a dcm4chee server. This dependency will be removed in the next release.

Did you get it working? Remember, Oviyam has to be installed on a server with dcm4chee and then can be configured to connect to Conquest.

This app looks really nice!

I tried viewing images from a clear canvas image server, (which doesn't have wado), and it looks like it is retrieving the images with C-MOVE,

but none of the images actually display.

The exception in dcm4chee console is:

ERROR WadoServlet  java.lang.IllegalStateException: Input not set!

What transfer syntaxes are supported? Many of these files are jpeg2000, or baseline jpeg.

- Performance: for a large series, it can take a long time to actually see anything in the thumbnail view on the left

I tried Oviyam2 with various browsers on Windows 7 64, OSX Mountain Lion, and Ubuntu 13.

So far, best experience is:

Ubuntu  with Chrome 64 bit

OSX with Chrome or Safari

Firefox sadly does not work properly on any OS.

Chrome seems to have majour memory leak and stability issues on Win7 64.

I was able to get memory usage up to 2GB just by stacking back and forth on

an image.  And frequent crashes. Hopefully, they will fix in upcoming releases. 

But it is not usable in its present state.

BTW, when zooming images I get a weird behaviour (see attached images) and no mather which zoom level I have, on the lower left it always says "zoom: 28%".

The weird behaviour I get is from zooming in, moving and then zooming out: it's seems the image gets clipped.

I also tried the window/level functionality, it works really slow. Are there any known performance issues with this functionality?

Are you using the latest 2.0 release? There was a bug with the zoom text with the Beta release. Also. WL/WW is currently optimised for CT/MR images. Browser constraints are behind the slow performance with MG, CR & DR images. Image clipping will be fixed in the next release.

Folks, I am able to install and send images to dcm4chee using dcmsnd command. The images were anonymized.

I am able to see the images in dcm4chee however the oviyam2 shows no data in the table. What am I missing?

Do you mean two images from different series of the same patient (possible, click on the grid icon) or two images of the same series or different patients (not possible with the current version).

Multiple series could be viewed at a time using "Layout" selection.
Scout Lines will be displayed while navigating through slices of a series if they have reference in scout or topogram image.

I see that for iOviyam, the latest release available for download is a 2.0 Beta version released more than 2 years ago. Is there a 2.0 final version available for download somewhere?

I am running dcm4chee 2.10.13 in JBoss 4.0.5GA. At least immediately, I am not in a position to upgrade to latest dcm4chee and JBoss 4.2.3. So, I tried iOviyam 2 on my dcm4chee 2.10.13 version, but it has compatibility issues while deploying iOviyam war. The couple of issues I noticed are:

1) The iOviyam war is giving deployment error, where I see the following error in server.log while trying to use <jboss>/server/default/conf/log4j.xml with iOviyam

ClassCastException: org.jboss.logging.appender.RollingFileAppender cannot be cast to org.apache.log4j.Appender

     

2) I noticed that the WADO version that comes with 2.10.13 has image quality issues, that produces a complete black/blank image for thumbnails for some images. If there is a way to upgrade only the WADO and along with that if (1) works good, that will be a good start for me.

I don't think WADO module alone can be upgraded, since it depends on the underlying dcm4che toolkit and dcm4chee ejb modules.

I would suggest to upgrade your dcm4chee version to 2.17.2 which is found most stable version as I experienced from our several installations.

I hope this is not a stupid question and I hope this is an ok forum.

I have set up a dcm4chee server.

Currently it runs great and my students can go to a web page I made for them and select cases to view via weasis.

I just found  your viewer and I would like to test it b/c it is HTML 5 and my students will not have to deal with downloading .jnlp files and opening them with Java.

I have downloaded Oviyam2.war and placed it in the server/default/deploy folder.

I found some further instructions from 2009 on line.

AET, IP, port are all fine.

What is the syntax then to open a case from the server in oviyam from a web page.

The old instructions say:

"http://dcm4chee_ip:8080/oviyam/oviyam?patientID=<patientid>&studyUID=<studyUID>"

Will this still work?

This URL works fine for Oviyam as mentioned. But how do I open a particular study/series from iOviyam using URL?  When I tried this same URL from my android phone, it does not open the study, instead it is opening the Search page. Can you please help me.

I have installed dcm4chee - oviyam2 in synology nas station and it works fine, using c-get. recently, i have installed the iOviyam2 for mobile use. 

users can see the patients studies but not the images. i don't know what wado port should i define so i can see the images of the studies as well. 

I have also installed the dcm4chee-oviyam2 and ioviyam2 in win7 using wado port 8080 and it works fine.

in synology the viewer and archive uses port 9080 (ie http://nas ip:9080/iOviyam2/series.html or http://nas ip:9080/dcm4chee-web3/ or http://nas ip:9080/oviyam2/) but defining wado port 9080 doesnt work.

iOviyam shows DX images with very low resolution . May be image with 500x500 size. So please let's option to choose loading : original size or custom size depending on users.

Oviyam 2.7.2 will work with dcm4chee 5, provided it should be deployed in tomcat or JBoss (dcm4chee 2.x) and dcm4chee 5 configured as a DICOM archive. As of now Oviyam 2.7.2 cannot be deployed in dcm4chee arc 5/wildfly directly.
