Hi Vineet,

Are you installing Dataverse for the first time or deploying an upgrade?

What version of Dataverse are you trying to deploy?

Can you please email sup...@dataverse.org with your server.log from Payara?

Thanks,

Phil

Hi Philip,

I am reinstalling the Dataverse. It's not an update though I am reinstalling the same ver. 5.4.1 for testing purposes only. Did I miss any step?

Thanks and Regards,
Vineet

Hi Vineet,

I took a look at your server.log in the support ticket (#303171) but I'm not sure what's going on. The log is short and shows that the Dataverse-specific JVM options have been added to Payara's domain.xml file but it doesn't look like a deployment actually happened.

The installation script should create a file called something like scripts/api/setup-all.12345.log (the number varies). If you could email that to sup...@dataverse.org as well, we'd appreciate it.

Finally, if you'd like to try a more automated way of installing Dataverse, lots of people have good luck with dataverse-ansible, created by Don Sizemore from UNC. You can find a quickstart here: https://github.com/GlobalDataverseCommunityConsortium/dataverse-ansible#quickstart

I hope this helps,

Phil
