Closed data sources

I've just been going through data.ug and found that page about closed data sources. Some of the institutions/companies seem to have spent quite a bit of money on their data banks and don't want to part with the data. I could try to reach FIT Uganda this coming week and see what they can release since I am familiar with one of the Directors ...

That would be splendid. We dont mind creating their organisation & datasets only as placeholder. That should still help people who are looking for agriculture data.

Ok, I did take a look. Its a big report generated from a Microsoft Access
database. Its pretty detailed!

Where is this coming from? Is the data also available for other districts? Is
the data also available for other periods? Is the data available in raw
format? from whom?

What would you like to do with this data? What do you propose as a next step?

So many questions. Could you give it a try answering the once you can answer?

This format is familiar,
It seems every district is required to file something similar with
Ministry of Finance and it is what goes into the budget.go.ug. I used
a bit of it for the last presentation our team made. I've been
downloading these off the site for the last 10 days or so. They are
detailed but we will pick just a few things to use for our particular
team's case.
