Hi ,

I would like to understand, what do you mean by link data server ? Does it mean that if i deploy the server on a specific address and try to resolve a resource from my web browser i will be provided with the description or an html page ?

Hi Maatary,

"Linked Data" server is a known term in the Semantic Web community. See, e.g., [1,2]. In the current stable version 1.0.1 the Linked Data servlet is mapped to URIs [3]. This restriction is lifted in the current development branch v1.1 (i.e., you can map the Linked Data servlet to any URI prefix - as specified in the web.xml configuration).

Hi andreas,

I'm well versed into linked data. I'm about to build my on linked data server, because i could not find something suitable to my particular needs. The linked media framework is for instance another suit of tool that comprised a linked data server. although they clearly specify that one should make his data Id based on the adress of the server slash "LMF". Otherwise it is considered external data. I did not see this spec in your webpage. So to me a linked data server is not defined in formally but we can guess what it should do. It should make available the resource that it holds at his address provided that those resource have an id based on it. I want to publish resource that have the id, mywebsiteadress/id. That is what i wantted to be sure to be able to do with Cumulus

Hi Maatary,

yes - this is (of course) possible.

Let me know, if you have problems.

Kind regards
Andreas
