Dear Members

Should the Share Transfer Form (7B) be bought from the respective city / state only? OR can the share transfer form of one state be used in the other?

How do we get share transfer forms of different states?

Thanks

I read on csmysore that Share Transfer Forms (Form 7B) have to be bought at the respective stock exchanges in various cities. Hence, wanted to confirm it with the members.

Can a Form 7B bought in Chennai be used for share transfer of a company located in Mumbai?

Thanks.

You can only use the share transfer form endored by the ROC of each particular state.

Dear Members

Should the share transfer form be endorsed by the RoC of each state?

Mr. Kumar Bhagwat has stated that the Share Transfer form bought in any state can be used.

Dear sir

In my view it should from the concern ROC. Few days back on request of one of the Bangalore PCS i sent Share Transfer Form (7B) purchased from Seetaraman book seller containing seal of ROC Chennai to the Bangalore for one of the company registered with roc Chennai.

You should request to the members in practice in that concern roc to send the same.

Is there any notification or circular in  this regard.

The Act says prescribed authority and Companies (Central Government's) General Rules and Forms, 1956 says the prescribed authority shall be the Registrar, or such other authority as the Central Government may from time to time appoint in that behalf by notification in the Official Gazette.

But it is not clear whether it is the same ROC where the registered office of the Company is situated or any ROC.

Best Regards

Ranjith

Transfer form duly authenticated by any ROC can be used in whole of India irrespective of any state. Suppose if a shareholder of karnataka holds shares of company having regd. ofc at Bihar wanna transfer his shares to transferee residing at Punjab, it is not practically possible for him to purchase deed of respective state only. ROC are representatives of Central Government, Company Law is an Central Act, not an State not.

So, deed is valid in whole India
