Hi! I'm planning to start CS 164 online and am looking for partners.
I'm at UTC+4. Anyone want to join?

Whats your background in CS? I'm currently doing CS75. After that I'll be going for cs164. Would be able to join you then :)
If you haven't done cs75 then you must do it first.

That sounds like good advice, I myself am going through a couple of courses to get more comfortable with web technologies, HTML, Java etc.
Will check out CS75, lets touch base again to see if we both start 164 at about the same time.

Hi,

I just finished CS50 (for the second time) and was thinking about moving onto CS164.  I'm in UTC -4 but
would still be interested in working together on this.  How much time a week do you think you can spend on this?

Hi,

I am taking CS50x for the first time and hoping to finish in a couple of weeks, and its been great fun!
I will be starting work full time after a break so I plan to spend 4-8 hours a week on the course, depending on work pressures. The 8 hour time difference will be a challenge, but lets see if we can make it work. When do you plan to start?

Cheers,
ns

Hi,

I looked at cs164 for 2014 and 2012.  The one for 2014 suggest you need 4 courses cs50 or higher as a prerequisite.  The 2012 offering is meant to follow cs50.  One problem is the appliance is out of date - not sure how much an issue that is yet.  I'm starting to watch the videos this week.  Where are you now in cs50?

Hi!

I'm finishing cs50x too. I'm UTF -3.

Let's study together?

Which version of 164 are you interested in? 2012 or 2014?

I believe the requirements (4 CS courses or extensive programming experience) in the 2014 version is an indication that the course is more advanced than CS50. The focus seems also to have shifted to general principles of software engineering.

I plan to start with the lectures by end of this month. However I am looking for instruction on Mobile programming, rather than general S.E. principles so I would prefer the 2012 version.

Are you guys interested in 2012 or 2014: rss81, Felipe, Anil, Tarique?

2012 for me. I am currently brushing up on JavaScript and will start the 2012 lectures in about 2 weeks. It would be great to have a few others working on this together
