I am thinking of building additional phone booths. Currently have 2 phonebooths, 3 conference rooms and 270 members. Our phonebooths are actively used and has lead to members using conference rooms for some private calls. Anyone having similar problems? How many phonebooths do you have?

Hi,

We have 3 skyperooms/phonebooths, suitable for skype/phone calls, and 100 members. And sometimes it is not enough.

270 members on site every day, or 270 members total? What's your daily average?

Are you keeping note of who's using phone rooms more? E.g. those teams in private rooms, people from the coworking space, or a balance of the two?

We have 15 phone booths, 7 meeting rooms. 150-200 on site users. There are times (maybe once a week) when every "in use" indicator light is on, but they go out after 10 minutes of inactivity and I have never looked through the glass doors to see if it was really the case. Gotta have ample meeting/focus spaces! We get high marks on this from our members and I know it is a frustration some of them had at other places. There are definitely times the conference rooms get oversubscribed. Always liking for ways to mitigate the demand for those. They're on an online booking system with allowance/credits depending on membership level and a member price (discounted) for any use thereafter. The phone booths are first come first served. We don't have a reservation system for those.

We are adding two or three new phone booths this summer to our 3500 sq. ft. space. We have 50 members and it's probably go to be at 60ish by the end of the summer. We have one phone booth, a conference room, and a TV lounge that can be closed off for phone calls. Basically, we have three places plus a patio where people feel comfortable taking phone calls. On an average day we have around 20 people in the space.

The days have spiked to where people are panicked looking for a spot to take a long phone call. It's not a big issue yet but I can see people once or twice a week hustling around trying to get a space. If people are trying out the space on these days during the week I notice the questions about phone calls because a pain point for them so I know it could deter future memberships.

So in summary, we are going from 1 official phone booth to 4 with 60 to 70 members (70 is where we will be at capacity). 4 will probably be overkill but in construction costs it only adds $500 and we have the space.

Hi,
I am interested in the physical build of phone booths.  Can you share a photo or a link depicting the $500 phone booths?

Thanks!

The phone booths are not self contained but we build one room length wall and then subdivide with 4 foot interior walls. However, to go from 2 to 3 phone booths is only $500 more but the total costs for the three phone booths will be around $3000.
