Hi Friendly CommCare Team,

Happy new year.

I am having some problem with incomplete forms saved to the phones. It won't let me open them, as it says they cannot be parsed. This has happened to multiple forms.

Have we done something to cause this?

And is there any way to salvage these forms inorder to submit them? ... not sure what Parsed means .... do we have to now delete them?

Thanks for advice,

Natasha

Hi Natasha,

Has your application been updated recently? Often this is caused by a form changing in a way that makes data in the old, saved form become out of sync with the new model.

If you'd send your domain I could take a closer look.

Best,
Will

Hi Will,

sorry for the late reply -Ive been away.

We did not change our forms at all - I have not made any changes to the application for a couple of months.

What does 'domain' mean? My project is called chrosam-study - what else do I need to send you? We're working in Malawi.

I see there have been some other users with issues opening incomplete forms on Galaxy android phones - is this something that has been looked into yet?

Thanks for your help,

Natasha

Natasha,

Looks from you logs like you're running 2.9 on your devices - I'd recommend upgrading to 2.10 since we did introduce a fix for a related issue in that version.

Also could you submit a report to a rechnical email at:

Preferably with all of the information included here:

Please include the user(s) experiencing this problem. Also, does the error message occur when you click a form or when you try to open the case list screen?

Best,
Will
