Hi,

I have case sharing set up for supervisors to be able to look at a health worker's case load so I have 1 group per health worker that only has THAT health worker and their supervisor in it.

I'm having a problem though where when I search for cases by a particular user, a few cases will show up, but when I search by the group that the user is in, a whole bunch of cases show up.

It doesn't make any sense to me because there is only one health worker in that group so the data associated with the group should be that same as that associated with the health worker. Also, all the cases say their type is "case" whereas if the supervisor was somehow submitting data, its case type would be "DSDOM" (named for the type of health worker they are supervising).

Why is this happening?!?

Hi Sarah,

Assume you are referring to the case list report? I believe that report searches by owner (the group) as well as the person who last updated the case (the user) but will not filter for all cases that might be available to the user through their groups. Is that consistent with what you're seeing?

Yeah, I think you're right. Since the supervisor is in multiple groups I think its including the cases from other CHWs under that supervisor.

Thanks!
