I've been working on my application and have been updating my personal phone to test changes. Everything works on my phone (Tecno M3S) and I'm able to update with no problems. However, when I update on our enumerators phones (Samsung Galaxy Trend Lite S7392), the app crashes as soon as we open up a form. My phone is always connected to the network and has automatic updates, while the others are not. I'm wondering if this might be part of the issue. Any quick help would be appreciated since right now we are using an old version! Thanks!

Thanks Nate! I really hate to bother but it's been tough that nothing seems to be working. I appreciate the work you do!

Alicea,

Apologies for the issues you are experiencing.

We've pushed a hotfix which should fix any affected devices and it should be public on the Google Play store in a number of hours. If you need to apply the fix for your devices immediately, the .apk file for installing or upgrading to the newest version of the application is available at our build server (commcare-odk.apk):

(Note: Installing this version raw from the .apk file won't affect future updates. You'll still receive updates from the Play Store as usual).

Hello Clayton,

Unfortunately my internet connection wasn't quite good enough to download the apk files. Please let me know when the update is available in the Google Play store and how I find it. I'd like to be able to update my enumerators' phones in the morning.

Thanks,
Alicea

Alicea,

It is live on the play store for me, according to https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.commcare.dalvik, but you should check that page locally (if possible) since the server updates roll out by region.

You can update the app by going to the google play store on the phone and searching for CommCare, and updating from there.

Thanks Clayton. My colleague and I tried the new update, which says it was updated on March 16. Unfortunately, we are still encountering the same issue. I'll retry the update in the morning, but if you have any other suggestions meanwhile, that would be helpful.

Thanks,
Alicea

Alicea,

I checked and it looks like the current error has to do with the structure of one of your forms unrelated to the bug. I'll reply offline so we can make a support ticket.
