I have an application running on Dimagi's servers that I'm trying to transfer onto a locally hosted version of CommCareHQ. According to https://confluence.dimagi.com/display/commcarepublic/Transferring+an+Application+Between+Projects+or+Servers I should be able to access the application source by going to http://[SERVER ADDRESS]/a/[PROJECT NAME]/apps/import_app/?app=<APP_ID> .

That confluence page indicates there should be a text box labeled "Source" that I could copy the full source from. However, when I go to that path for my project I am pointed to a page that seems to only allow me to reimport my application to the same project (ie. Import application xxx from domain yyy?).

Is this a known issue? Or am I missing some way on this page to view my application's source code?

Aaron,
I just tested this out and it seems fine to me.  What is the exact url you're using?  When I go to that link (http://localhost:8000/a/esoergel/apps/import_app/?app=54951c00b6d81642ae8f6bf7033d6535) I see "Import application xxx from domain yyy" as you mentioned, then below that are two input fields - "Name", and "Source".  The latter of these contains the source for that app (although the textarea is absurdly small for the amount of information it contains).

Hi Aaron,

Apologies, there was actually an error in the documentation we had overlooked which is that it only worked for superusers in the system. I've updated the documentation with the correct instructions for normal accounts. Could you give it a shot now? In particular, the right URL is: http://[SERVER ADDRESS]/a/[PROJECT NAME]/apps/source/<APP_ID>

thanks,
Cory

Worked like a charm, thank you so much Cory.
