Hi,

I am facing a weird situation here. While running a Jmeter script, taurus tool stops sending requests after some time. It starts the test, run for 5-10 minutes and after some time its stops sending any more requests.
The elapsed time keeps on increasing but Cumulative Stats duration, no. of hits doesn't increase. At the same time, when I check and run the script through jmeter it runs. Even the application is responding properly at that time. Also, the machine where I am running the tests have enough memory or cpu to generate load. Its just that I don't see requests increasing through Taurus. Even there are no errors in Taurus logs. This happens even running with the single user.
After stopping the test, when I run again, it runs and after 5-10 minutes it stops sending more requests.
What could be the problem here? Can anyone please help me?

Thanks,
JM

Hi,

This may happen for several reasons.

  1. Does your test contain a lot of different sample labels?
  2. Does your test have a long-long response times?
  3. Does it stops to send requests, or just Taurus stops analyzing results? How do you tell?

It would be nice if you would run the test with "-v" flag added to command line, and then zip and share full artifacts dir.

Hi Andrey,

1. No, the test do not contain lot of sample labels as its a webservice. It just have one HTTP request with this test. But, yes I faced similar problem for application scripts when my jmeter test had lot of sample labels and multiple thread groups.
2. The response time is not high. Max response time is 10 secs.
3. I can see its just Taurus stops sending requests because from other places like application or SOAP UI, it can send requests. Also, in the application I can see request counts.

For now, I restarted the machine and so far it is working fine. I will try the option when I have same situation again.

Thanks,
JM
