Learn how to create a realistic paper Monarch butterfly in this two-hour workshop with Paper artist Wendy Bale on Saturday, August 19th at 11am. No drawing skills needed! Yes! This durable paper is actually made of rocks and can do things no ordinary paper can—it’s even waterproof, so you can display your butterfly outdoors if you like. In this introductory workshop, you’ll work with a new mineral paper and try out some useful paper sculpting skills. Wendy has developed a unique way of working with this specialty paper using embossing tools, scissors and acrylic paint to replicate everybody’s favorite butterfly. You’ll learn fascinating facts about Monarch butterflies while working on your paper sculpture.
