Dear Jos,

First of all, thanks a lot for this amazing tool! Now, I have a couple of questions.:) So after using my own event style where I just  specified both border and background colors is there any way I fix event height as well. In your grouping example No. 13 that height is quite good however when I switch to my own style the height doubles. Also is there any possibility to fix height of groups as well and do not let them change when we move through time.

Thank you very much in advance for your support.
Best,
Drago

Hi, there is no option to specify the heights of groups. The height is determined from the maximum height of the items in the group (so you can indirectly control it by creating items with the desired height).

Ok, thanks. I got it with the groups height. However how to create items with the desired height?
best,

There are various ways to do that. You can adjust the css of the Timeline items for that, or you can put your own HTML+CSS as contents of the items. There are some examples of both in the example directory of the Timeline.

There is a bug in the current 2.7.0 implementation. If you delete or move away all events from a group, the group's height is 0. A group without any events is collapsed. It is a new bug in the current Timeline.

Sadly, but there is not an option "always show groups, also without events" as well.

Yeah, the Timeline doesn't support groups without items, as groups are deduced from the provided items. This is resolved in the successor of the Timeline, in the new vis.js library, which has way better support for groups.
