Hi guys!

This can sound as a beginner question for Cerner, and it is.
I've been working with other EMR platforms and I want to transition and apply some of our products on Cerner.

I found that different portals are a bit confusing, and I might be the problem, but I need guidance. I want access to a Sandbox environment of Cerner Millennium. I was able to connect to a FHIR server, and create SMART apps, but I really need to play with the platform and I suppose that there are environments with test data.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

HUGE THANKS!

If your app is a provider launch, you can test it from within the developer portal [1], otherwise, there are plenty of examples on our documentation site [2] to help get you started. Did you have any particular questions for direction for your development?

Thanks for the response Aaron!

I was able to create SMART apps, and build a prototype on the top of FHIR.
However, I'd like to experience a similar experience that a physician has, not only the tab that I create and access information through FHIR.

I wonder if there's access to a sandbox environment where I can understand the real workflow.

As a value-added service of our code Program members, you will test and validate your app as it shows embedded within PowerChart itself. A normal workflow for a provider would be to click on a Table of Contents link to your app, and then it just shows your app as an embedded web page just like in the console with a demographics banner. A similar option is to be embedded in an iframe in an mPage workflow view [1]. Even there, it just acts as an embedded web page as is shown in the code console.
