Multiple Root Accounts

I could not be able to see an option to add multiple root accounts in canvas lms. There is no documents for refering this. Is anyone know about this please update with me as soon as possible.

I think you are mentioned about how to add mutiple users / admins in an accout.

My case is that 

   1. currently I have two accounts ( SiteAdmin , CompanyName1 ) not users. these are root accounts.

   2. I wand to add another account CompanyName2, is it possible or not? Can you please update with me about this ?

Can't you find a workaround with SUB-ACCOUNT and playing with the permissions?

I could not be able to find an option to restrict one account to another( between sub acoounts).

What kind restriction you are looking for.  You can create user inside a sub-account and make that user as sub-account admin having permission to view all the courses under that sub-account

Hi Sarath,

Select the Sub-account and select Settings option from LHS menu. 

Select Admins option from the top menu and use Add Account Admins option and choose Sub-Account Admin from the drop down paste the user details in the space provided.

Ok, I know that, but that is not for adding users, In that case actually happening is that, assigning admin privilege for a user from root account. I am asking that can I add a new user(sub account's own user) from sub accounts ?

The permission for all Roles in an account is visible from Permissions ->Account Roles.  Here you could see the permissions set for each role and add/edit Permissions for Sub-Account Admin and define a new Roles.

Sarath,
User accounts live in the root account. User permissions are applied upon enrollment in a course. Course permissions are mandated by subaccount settings.

There is no benefit to adding users to a subaccount; the users don't gain or lose anything, nor is anything administratively gained or lost.

"Sub-accounts are used to manage permissions and organizational hierarchy within an organization. For example, sub-accounts can be created for individual colleges within a university, or for schools within a district. Sub-accounts can also be created within sub-accounts, such as when a college subdivides into departments that subdivide into programs, or a school that subdivides into grade levels that subdivide into specific subjects."
