Sri Vishwas,
I appreciate all of your efforts, including Drs. Dhaval and Gasun, to make available the DB's on the android platform! I use colordict app on android. I downloaded some of the tar files from your github pages. Quite useful. I've one query. When I type in Devanagari, only Sabdasagara and DCS-Frequency are displayed; but not Vacaspatyam and SKD. Any suggestion? Dr. Oliver's DB offers pointers to word frequency. His website offers hyperlinks to each output word in result. Can it be implemented in android?

No idea - never seen this error. How did you install vAchaspatyam and shabdakalpadruma? using the

Good idea - One can potentially provide a link to the word in Oliver's DCS website, but that requires data I don't have (a map from each word to the appropriate url, such as pancaka to http://kjc-sv013.kjc.uni-heidelberg.de/dcs/index.php?contents=lemma&IDWord=15164 ). Perhaps +martin or +oliver might provide this data?

No. I directly copy the link in to app and it installs automatically. Please see the screen shot.

Yes, as you people felt before, Dr. Oliver must be all alone in doing these technicalities. His efforts are commendable and highly beneficial for scholars who are at ease in using computers.

Also, more to the point, what URL did you use to install vAchaspatyam and kalpadruma? Did you use links from shrI ajita's (cc-ed) pioneering aupasana.com, or did you use those from ? The former used to have only roman-keywords from what I recall from many years ago, while the latter is known to have both.

Thanks for the pointers. I installed Total commander. I realized I stopped to use the SD card. I run the apps with internal memory (16 GB). This must be the problem?
Also, more to the point, what URL did you use to install vAchaspatyam and kalpadruma? Did you use links from shrI ajita's (cc-ed) pioneering aupasana.com, or did you use those from ? The former used to have only roman-keywords from what I recall from many years ago, while the latter is known to have both.
True, I used Sri Ajita's web site links for downloading tarred files. Ok, would you suggest me to re-install from tars.MD. I shall give a try. Meanwhile, I downloaded the Stardict updater and it installed the DB's that are not already there.

No - it does not matter - the dictionary you installed probably does not contain devanAgarI headwords (as I later guessed).
And I mistyped: dictdata/vAcaspatyam folder (wherever it is located - sd card or internal storage)

Thanks a lot to you and all involved in making these dictionaries available. I just deleted the entire mix of aupAsana and github dictionaries that I had which threw up multiple copies in Golden dict, some numbered 1.1.001 with leading zeroes for Panini sutras and others with 1.1.1 and replaced them all with github dictionaries. Now I get all commentaries under one copy of sutra.
Thanks again to you all, my hurt back is saved and doesn't need to be burdened with books; I just carry my laptop and sutrapATha, etc, to my classes.

Glad you find it useful! There are of course errors in the texts (proofreading is needed) and inconsistencies in some sUtra-pATha numberings (https://github.com/sanskrit-coders/stardict-sanskrit/issues/21 )

Your observation might correct in general. But, the word 'करटिन्' is found in Apte's Practical Sanskrit English Dictionary available online at http://www.sanskrit-lexicon.uni-koeln.de.

Dear Jagannathji,
Thanks for pointing to this verse in the Abhidhānacintāmaṇi for the word Karaṭin. I am now curious about the meter used in this verse. It comes close to Vasantatilakā, but has one more syllable in each line. I have not come across this meter before. Has anyone else? What is the name of such a meter? Thanks once again.

According to Chando'nushaasana of Hemachandra, the Vrtta employed in the verse ``Hastee..''etc is Mrdanga.
