Hi,

I am new to Blockly.  I am planning for some educational use and
I need to know about all the available blocks.  Is there something
like a reference manual describing them?  Or do I have to read the
source code?

Thanks,

Hisao

Some blocks are documented in the wiki: https://code.google.com/p/blockly/w/list

All have tooltips describing their behavior.  You can play with them at:  https://blockly-demo.appspot.com/static/apps/code/index.html

There are additional blocks in each of the applications.  For example, the path-ahead block is only available in maze.

Also note that Blockly allows you to create your own blocks, so you'll
never find a canonical list of all available blocks per se. How to
create your own blocks is documented in the wiki:
https://code.google.com/p/blockly/wiki/DefiningBlocks

cheers,
José

Thanks Ellen,

I have figured out that the best way to find out how a block behaves
is to execute it.

Thanks José,

I know this but currently I am in the phase of trying to see which
block I can use.

We welcome suggestions (and volunteers) for improved documentation.

We could use a Japanese translation of the maze tutorial, if you'd like to create one.  Start with https://blockly.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/apps/maze/en.html.
