Somewhere around the 1.0.0 release QS started treating text with an URL inside it as an URL type. So this "this is a test http://test.com" would be incorrectly treated as an URL so the "Open URL" action shows up above "Paste as Plain Text" for that item.

I can't just reorder actions because I want Open URL above Paste as Plain Text when I really do have an URL. It also seems just plan broken because if I do choose "Open URL" it passes "http://this%20is%20a%20test%20http//test.com" to Chrome.

Thanks,
d

I have a workaround for undesired actions appearing first in the 2nd pane:

Whenever a new app that has services is installed, its services often become the default actions for objects, knocking the user's preference down the list. For example, I get 'Create Snippet in Dash' for text objects, despite setting 'Paste as Plain Text' as their default action.

Avoid this issue by first having 'Paste as Plain Text' appear in pane 2 when 'p' is pressed, then subsequently hitting ⌘⇧P with text in pane 1 to paste it. It won't matter what the default action is.

Patrick discovered this too at some point. See the very last commit on #1415.

So there’s a unit test to tell us it’s broken, at least. That’s almost like fixing it. :-)

A unit test definitely helps :). I created #1509 for this.

Thanks,
