Perhaps I am not searching this discussion group correctly, I am trying to find out if Quicksilver can search through all my email for a particular subject, title, sender, attachment etc. I have set Catalog to include ~/Library/Mail in its searches but so far "no joy". I figured that if I am using Quicksilver to search for some file, it should also be perfect to be able to search for an email I received so that I can, for example, respond to it.

Thanks.

Try installing the Apple Mail plugin (go to the plugin preferences). With it installed you can bring up Mail.app in Quicksilver's 1st pane and press '→' or '/' to view your email accounts and subsequently your messages.

Patrick,

Thanks. I tried your suggestion. It works to a degree! On a very large Inbox Quicksilver crashes. I have sent a report through the crash report window on starting the app.

Thanks Stephen for getting back,

Could you let me know the name of your computer so I can take a look at the crash report - or create an issue at https://github.com/quicksilver/Quicksilver/issues and upload the crash report there.

Thanks

Hi Stephen,

I can't seem to find your crash report on the server. Can you make sure you're running the latest version of Quicksilver and the Mail plugin.

Quicksilver version 1.0.0 and Mail plugin 3.0.2

Thanks

Patrick,

Yes. I am using those versions. I will capture the crash report again and send it. It will have to be tomorrow though. Is that OK?

What is the best way? When Quicksilver is restarted after a crash it provides a window informing me of the crash and whether I want to send the report. That's what I used before.

Hi Stephen,

If that's what you used before, then it's strange I can't find it in out list of logs.
If you open up Console.app you can find the old crash log on the left hand side. It will start with "Quicksilver…"
The best way to send it to us developers is to create an issue at https://github.com/quicksilver/Quicksilver/issues

Patrick,

Thanks for the quick response. I decided to send the log tonight (I am 12 hours ahead of New York time so its 11:00 pm) and I tried using Github to send the console log and unfortunately its too long. I don't know which portions are relevant to you. Is there any other way?

Stephen
