I'd like to be able to click on the QS item in the menu bar, and see:
  • A list of all the items in a folder I designate.
  • A list of all open applications.
Is there a QS plugin that supports either or both of these?

Thanks in advance to all for any info.

It sounds like you want to just add these things to the catalog. For the 1st, go into the catalog preferences and drag in the folder you’d like so see. Then, you can open Quicksilver and type the name of that folder to see it. Pressing → or / will show you all the items inside that folder.

For the list of open apps, just search for “Running applications & Processes” in Quicksilver, then hit → or /

Thanks for this info. I'd like to see my lists of favorite/open apps just by clicking once in the menu bar - without typing. Is there a plugin to support that in Quicksilver?

How's this?

- Invoke QS
- First Pane: locate a folder
- Second Pane: Show Contents
- Press Ctrl-Enter to get a command in the first pane.
- Second pane: Save Command to File...

You can add the command e.g. to the right side of your dock.

The Dock shows this information. 0 clicks!

You might also want to take a look at the Shelf plug-in. You can add
frequently accessed things to the Shelf and view them in a separate
window. That window can be either shown with a shortcut, kept on screen
at all times, or hidden off-screen and viewed by mousing over to that
edge.
