Order of accounts (ledger)

Why is the order of accounts in the left column of the Transaction screen not in alpha/numeral order? Possibly the list is ordered by the number of transactions, which doesnot make sence, because you would find the accounts in different order all the time. How can I put them in the right order?

Hi,
Groups and accounts without groups (first level) are ordered first by permanent nature, than by usage, for fast access. Accounts inside groups are ordered alphabetically. So, to get it alpha ordered you need to group those accounts.

Does that works for you?

Thanks for your swift reply. 

Your suggestion helps a bit but doesnot really solve my problem. 

I made a group "0 Grootboek" (General Ledger) in which I included ALL accounts. Within this group the accounts are ordered alphabetically, which is indeed what I want. But I have made some more groups within my ledger and also the groups are ordered by usage, so they end up in the same chaotic way as the list of accounts. Also this general group shows (for reasons unknown) deleted transactions. 

Does Bkper take feature request? My request would be to make it possible to order the accounts alphabetically (within or outside groups). 

My motivation for this request would be: I learned the alphabet and counting at the age of six, but I never learned to memorize the day by day usage of my accounts, they will not show up in the same place every day, so it will take longer to find them. On the other hand, accounts show up (max. 5) in the input field during the booking process very quickly. This is a very very useful feature.

Hi Mael, 

Can you inform me on the status of my feature request of February 12th? 

It's about steady ordering accounts in alphabetical order. 

After a test period I am using Bkper now for real, and enjoy it. 

But the chaotic and unlogic order of the accounts in my ledger is a fail. 

Would be great if logic and steady ordering were made possible soon.

Can you share the ledger (or a copy) with me, sobwe can ser more clearer how to improve it? That's because there are some more variables other than just the naming, and we had some quite few asks for ordering in different ways...
