three connections IP from bitcoinj

Hello.

I'm observing the incoming connections on a bitcoin node (running Satoshi 0.14.0).

I've noticed that bitcoinj-based clients open three connections per IP address. Does anybody know why this is?

Hmm, that's certainly not normal. Can you share logs?

It's not happening anymore - maybe it was a local issue.

Here is an excerpt from the log at the time it was happening. It doesn't contain the remote IP unfortunately, so it's not very useful. I notice that "us" is 127.0.0.1 for the duplicate connections, so maybe it's related to the local peer database?

I see a lot of "double connections" by non-bitcoinj peers in your logs
too. So I assume this is/was a local problem.
