I also had to deal with this kind of problem...
You could use specific hardware, with built-in echo cancellation, on a single computer shared by those few participants (at least for the audio part : each could also be connected, without microphone and muted speakers, to share screen...). E.g. :

But still, it is very useful in this kind of situation.
Out of curiosity, does anybody have a better device to propose ?
