Hello,

I am new to Big Blue Button and Ubuntu. When I'm trying to install BBB on my server as described in: http://docs.bigbluebutton.org/install/install.html.

But I'm constantly receiving the error:

root@ubuntu:/home/arihant# wget http://ubuntu.bigbluebutton.org/bigbluebutton.asc -O- | sudo apt-key add -

Resolving ubuntu.bigbluebutton.org (ubuntu.bigbluebutton.org)... failed: Name or service not known.

wget: unable to resolve host address ‘ubuntu.bigbluebutton.org’

gpg: no valid OpenPGP data found.

root@ubuntu:/home/arihant# Resolving ubuntu.bigbluebutton.org (ubuntu.bigbluebutton.org)... failed: Name or service not known.

Moreover, I am unable to install PPA for LibreOffice 4.4

Error: Please check that the PPA name or format is correct.

Hi Abhijeet,

Are you installing on a server behind a proxy or firewall?  Are you able to resolve other hosts?

Just tested ubuntu.bigbluebutton.org and looks OK.

$ ping ubuntu.bigbluebutton.org

PING ubuntu.bigbluebutton.org (104.130.209.130): 56 data bytes

You haven't shared any details on your firewall, so there isn't much more we can say except to reach out to the person/organization responsible for your firewall and ask how you can increase the access from your server to remote sites on the internet.
