BBB 2.3 shared notes export to pdf/word/odf fails

Put up new VM under ESXi, installed Ubuntu 18.04 & installed BBB 2.3 using bbb-install.sh (see below). BBB 2.3 works really well except when trying to export shared notes to a pdf, word doc or odf doc.  

In those cases, we get:

This site can’t be reached

The webpage at https://www.mydomain.com/pad/p/xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx/export/doc?sessionToken=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.

ERR_INVALID_RESPONSE

When I click on that link, I get a 401 Authorization Required error from nginx.

I always start out assuming it is my problem, but I cannot figure out how to fix.  What did I do wrong, or is there a fix?

check what command is used

$ grep -i soffice /usr/share/etherpad-lite/settings.json

As of 2.3-rc1 this should be 

"soffice": "/usr/share/bbb-libreoffice-conversion/etherpad-export.sh"

list the conversion scripts

$ ls -la /usr/share/bbb-libreoffice-conversion/

We want to check how old the soffice image is

$ docker images

Please list the exact version of BigBlueButton

$ bbb-conf --version

Please list the version of package bbb-libreoffice-docker

$ dpkg -l | grep bbb-libreoffice*

BigBlueButton releases have been pushed to repository `bionic-230` rather than `bionic-23`, so I'd recommend re-running your bbb-install command with this -v argument.
