Hello,
I have a requirement where I need to load the Join meeting URL in an iframe so that the user can do other stuff also while he is in meeting. When I load the join meeting URL in iframe it loads properly and everything works fine. But there are multiple warnings around Unsafe JavaScript attempt to access frame with URL in the browser console. Also I'm unable to call a Javascript function from the iframe to the parent windows. I know that crossdomain.xml is the answer but I have tried placing the crossdomain.xml in the following locations but no luck (Restarted BBB as well)

  •  /var/www/nginx-default
  • /var/lib/tomcat6/webapps/ROOT
  • /var/www/bigbluebutton-default
What's the correct location to put the crossdomain.xml to allow all domains and port numbers

Can you share the URL of that page with us?

The client swfs and js libs are located at /var/www/bigbluebutton/
client.

Have you tried putting the crossdomain file in this directory. Not
sure if it will work but worth a try. Let us know?

Stephen

I did try putting the crossdomain.xml under /var/www/bigbluebutton but didn't help. If you observe the following screenshot BBB seems to download the crossdomain.xml from adobe twice on joining the meeting

It's actually the second request which is the problem

which permits cross domain policies by content-type

Is the iframe issue only in one browser.... I remember this before
on the list, its works with some browsers and not others. IE,
Firefox, Chrome?

Which browsers are working?, failing?

All browsers not specific to a browser.

So if you look at the screenshot, your app nevers looks anywhere else
for crossdomain other than adobe site... So have to figure out why
its not looking for a crossdomain from bbb server.

Is your crossdomain file accessible from the root directory? It should work if you can access the file from <your_fqdn>/crossdomain.xml in a web-browser.

Hi Chad,

I googled my way to this thread. For some reason, all clients using bbb are downloading:

I configured a crossdomain.xml file but still get these download and I really need to get rid of them.
My configuration is similar to Gowtham's (who asked the question first).

Did you reach a solution?

Thanks,
Federico

Even though I'm serving a crossdomain.xml

The solution for me was to recompile all the flash components.
