Hi,

I have a problem with a recorded session. It does not get published. The command

I have attached the log.

Any ideas?

How many video cameras were on the conference,  looking at the log it looks like a bunch,  I wonder if there is a limit to squeeze tiles on the video playback area of popcorn?

The command is executing twice for the same video file. At the first time it creates the file stripped-320x240-wg6n65llodjb-1370538219767.flv, but at the second time it blocks because there's no "-y" option on ffmpeg that forces it to execute without confirmation. Just go to /usr/local/bigbluebutton/core/lib/recordandplayback/generators/video.rb and change the line 34 (https://github.com/bigbluebutton/bigbluebutton/blob/master/record-and-playback/core/lib/recordandplayback/generators/video.rb#L34) to include the option -y just after the ffmpeg.

I'm not sure if any command after this part can fail, it's possible, so please keep us updated. :)
The strange thing is that, why do you have two events with the same webcam?

D, [2013-06-17T23:45:28.481539 #8777] DEBUG -- : Matched events:

We should probably check if there are duplicate events and then ignore them to avoid problems. In your case probably the webcam will appear duplicated in the playback.

Regards,

Hi Stéphane,

Could you attach the file /var/bigbluebutton/recording/raw/c10e45a5a72c4bf33c9ddd47f6c3ec5afd4d00fd-1370537550438/events.xml  ?

Hi Stéphane,

Can you be more specific on 'crashed' ... did the hardware fail, did the OS fail, did BigBlueButton fail.

If BigBlueButton fails ... we want to know about it!

Cheers,... Fred

Hi Fred,

it was a hardware  issue. It was not bbb related.

I have setup a new installation. What is the best way to restore recordings from the backup? Which directories should I restore?

Regards.

Stéphane

Hi Stéphane,

If you copy over the directories (recommend using rsync)

  /var/bigbluebutton/published
  /var/bigbluebutton/unpublished
  /var/bigbluebutton/recording

you'll restore your recordings.

Regards,... Fred

Thank you. I could restore the recordings.

We have done yesterday another video conference. Although we had a working audio conference, bbb-record --list shows, that no audio was recorded:

Do you have any ideas, why the audio was not recorded?

Stéphane

You are right. One webcam video of participant appears twice.

Can I manually fix events.xml?

Stéphane

According to events.xml  the user shared the webcam twice...

Does that file have the content of the shared video for both attempts ? I mean if it has the webcam content shared the first and second time by the user?
