hi.
it's my 1st day with beets and i'm experimenting with a huge library ahead. "copy: no / write: no" for safety.
i noticed beets wants to correct cases of most of my music, which i understand as i always loved lowercase :) i still do. any idea how to skip this particular correction and proceed with checking everything else?
thanks.

I'm glad you're trying beets!

The data, including case, comes from MusicBrainz (or whatever other data source plugin you use). If you want to transform the data to lower case, you might consider using the %lower template function.

Thanks. Pardon my ignorance, but would it come as a part of the main config file... or? As far as I can see it's mostly used for paths, but I can be wrong.  A small example would be great ;)

Yep, the configuration can let you lower-case your filenames. There’s no easy way, currently, to apply transformations to the tags themselves. If you’re interested in that, please consider following this issue:

Seems like I'll have to dig into beet py files for now :)

So I managed to ignore case sensitive comparison by introducing some dirty lower() hacks in mb.py and discogs py files.
Before I need to do it again with a next update coming... Is there a better place to achieve it? A particular place in match.py maybe?
Thanks :)

I can’t exactly endorse modifying the beets source directly. :) If you’re interested in making this feature permanent, it would be awesome to have help implementing the aforementioned “formatted modify” automation feature!

Where can I get more details about that feature? Thanks.
