I am trying to reach the lowest possible power consumption with a headless
system, and only ssh access.
I am running the included Linux kernel on the Beaglebone Black. Using the OnDemand
governor. I notice that power usage does drop without a monitor connected, but is there
a way to more fully disable video or other non-essentials to further reduce the power
consumption?
Thanks. --

Ah..... maybe the question was misunderstood. I am not looking for measurements, as I can already
measure power for myself. I am looking for ways to reduce power consumption. For example, on the
original Beagleboard it was possible to disable video and save a fair amount of power.
Hi Gerald,
I only need the SD card, Ethernet, and ttyS0 active for now.
Is there a facility for sending the I2C commands in /sys or a /dev entry, or would I need to modify the kernel?
Thanks.
