Dear Friends,
SBI has recently introduced a second scheme, an up gradation of the old scheme of reimbursement of medical expenses, to retired staff. Surprisingly the new scheme applicable only to those retired under superannuation. The Associate Banks have also designed a similar scheme. SBT issued a circular on 03.09.2012; SBM on 15.12.2012.
The scheme is a 'makki ka makki' copy of the SBI circular. The detailed circular is available in the branches and access to the circular to the retirees with much difficulty. Only an abridged version is available in SBM website. The exhaustive circular of SBM, containing 9 pages [PGP Circular No.01/2012-13 dated 15.12.2012] mentions about the amount to be remitted for various plans, but is silent about the payee's name in the draft! I presume it should be 'SBM Retired Employees" Medical Benefit Fund Trust'. If anyone knows about it, please clarify.
The SBM Pensioners' Commune has issued a circular on 01.01.2013 and highlighted the points in the circular, but for the above doubt. The Commune has assured us to see that it is applicable to all retirees, irrespective of the mode of retirement.
