Hi,

We're beginning to use ArangoDB, with a view to running it on AWS in Docker containers.

Our initial thoughts were to use Amazon's EC2 Container Service to manage clustering, but I see there is already a script to allow ArangoDB to be clustered on AWS, using Docker, but not using ECS.

So I'm wondering if it's even worth trying to use ECS.   Has anyone used ECS and ArangoDB?    If so, is there any documentation on configuration, any downsides, any clear benefits over using the script found here (https://www.arangodb.com/2015/05/aws-cluster/) ?

Any comments / suggestions / help on this would be very much appreciated.

Cheers,

Ian.

Hi Ian,
the currently prefered way of running ArangoDB clusters is using Mesosphere.
we lag a bit behind on the documentation; I've written a fair overview of the topic in this stackoverflow post:

If you still have questions, please ask.

Cheers,
Willi
