Perhaps this has been discussed before, but a quick search didn't find it. Two-finger scrolling makes the file really scamper quickly.

I concur; the new speed of two finger scrolling is making aquamacs almost unusable.

It occurred with the update to Sierra. I was running Aquamacs 3.3 beta for a long time. When I updated to Sierra the scrolling speed occurs in Aquamacs, but not in other applications.  Updating to the release version of 3.3 didn't help.

I agree that this is not very usable.

Try this:

(setq mouse-wheel-progressive-speed nil)

If that doesn’t help, send me the value of the variable `mouse-wheel-scroll-amount’.

That fixed it. Thanks!
