Nothing comes after Starting AppController at ipaddress

Hi Everyone!!!!

After I up my Appscale it jams at "Starting AppController at ipaddress"

What to do ??

Need help

It looks like you are trying to install AppScale on a distro with ruby 2.3.0 installed. Unfortunately, there's no version of soap4r that has been ported to Ruby 2.3.0 that I know of.

Are you trying to install AppScale on Ubuntu Xenial?

Yes I am trying to install on Xenial. What should I do to avoid this probelm????

The easiest way to avoid it would be to use Trusty. We don't support Xenial yet, and it may be some time before we are able to.

If you find a version of soap4r that works on Ruby 2.3.0, we'd happily accept a pull request. In the meantime, our plan is to replace the soap server on the AppController with a REST-based server.

Do you think if i go to one of the earlier verisons of ruby then the problem can be solved?

It might allow you to get past that particular issue. You may see other issues when running on Xenial, though. For example, several components still expect Java 7, which isn't available in the Xenial repositories.
