Now I give you a solution that __REALLY WORKS__ (put gazillion underlines here) .

No need anymore to edit the Generic.kcm file  anymore.

The keyboard app that you all MUST use is called "External Keyboard Helper" . This app by the way you HAVE TO PAY to get it. It's not free.
Don't You ever think I am making an advertisement to this app.  Let me tell you why.

I have at home a Google TV Logitech Revue Android device. It has a physical bluetooth keyboard.  This comes with no Arabic layout nor the keys are labeled with Arabic letters.  The app "External Keyboard Helper" fixed this for me.

And now I used it on Android-x86 and works like a charm. you can switch between 3 layouts in this keyboard.

here is the demo version: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.apedroid.hwkeyboardhelperdemo
here is the paid version: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.apedroid.hwkeyboardhelper

You just install it and "your uncle is jack" as they say.
Enjoy.
