Hi,

I am using a Fujitsu Stylistic Q702 and trying to boot using USB stick. I created a bootable USB stick using various ISOs available at androidx86 like 4.2, 4.3 and the latest 4.4 using Unetbootin and Lili. However, I cant get past the boot device selection menu. As soon as I select the USB drive, it goes blank for 1 second and comes back to the same menu. Not able to boot. The same stick works in my Fujitsu T902 flawlessly. I am able to boot other USB bootable sticks on the Q702 like the Intel Atom Android image which I created using win32diskimager but not any of these.

Needless to mention, I have checked all BIOS settings like secure boot etc and since other USB devices are able to boot, I dont think its the settings.

Kindly help. :)

Regards
Vinay

I had the same problem. Tried 3 USB Sticks, Unetbootin, WinImgWriter, LiLi and Universal USB Installer. All did not work. Either it has shown "boot error" or it froze after choosing the language.

Works great after install though.

I find out a issue with unetbootin and grub2.
Legacy grub work great...so try to install android x86 on hard disk and choise usb flash drive or usb hard disk.

All,

Its not about Grub. I am not able to get the USB drive to boot at all. Once I select the USB drive's name from the boot device selection, it goes blank for a second and come back to the device selection menu. Tried two different USB drives.

Are you sure you are booting in legacy mode (in bios settings)? Because turning off secure boot lets booting uefi isos (ubuntu 12.04+, for example) but non uefi isos are blocked. It seems your pc is doing the same as mine: detects the usb, recognize non uefi media, reboots.

Hi Meerio,

Yes, Legacy mode is enabled in BIOS. Also it does not reboot but reverts back to the boot device selection screen :(

Will recheck it though.
