Hi,

I have a macbook 4.1 A1181 and have attempted to boot android-x86_64-9.0-r2.iso with some success.

The machine now has the partitions
/dev/sda1 ext2 linux boot
/dev/sda2 lvm  debian
/dev/sda3 ext4 android boot containing initrd.img  kernel  lost+found  ramdisk.img  system.sfs
/dev/sda4 ext4 android data

Using grub I can boot android with the kernel parameters:
linux /kernel root=/dev/ram0 androidboot_hardware=generic_x86 DEBUG=2 SRC=/ DATA=sda4 video=LVDS-1 video=SVIDEO-1:d

The i915 driver seems to work:

12-28 07:17:47.427     0     0 I         : [drm] Initialized i915 1.6.0 20180719 for 0000:00:02.0 on minor 0
12-28 07:17:47.441     0     0 I fbcon   : inteldrmfb (fb0) is primary device
12-28 07:17:48.041     0     0 I Console : switching to colour frame buffer device 160x50
12-28 07:17:48.062     0     0 I i915 0000: 00:02.0: fb0: inteldrmfb frame buffer devic

Unfortunately surfaceflinger crashes and I am not sure how to proceed.

12-28 07:17:56.747  2476  2476 F libc    : Fatal signal 4 (SIGILL), code 2 (ILL_ILLOPN), fault addr 0x7882cdd9fb23 in tid 2476 (surfaceflinger), pid 2476 (surfaceflinger)

Any advice appreciated.

Thanks,

Daren.

Hello,
on Core2Duo processor you may only try the 23 bit iso, because that processor does not meet the minimum Android ABI requirements to run 64bit iso
