External USB won't let me view APK and other Files

When i started installing Android on my PC. I have a slight problem. I can't view my videos,ROM files for MAME4Droid and it said can't open file. Is this normal?

Please be more specific.  How are you trying to view the files, what error messages.   You won't get any help if you expect us to read your mind.  

What videos, where?  What said it can't open the file?

Sorry i'm trying to learn because i have Aspergers. What i'm trying to say is that each file i pick from my External USB drive it won't let me open the file.When i use Mame4droid roms on my External USB,the External USB wouldn't show up the directory on my External Drive.

Again, what are you opening it with?

Perhaps your USB drive is corrupted?  I tranfer files, including APKs, via USB to my car all the time.  I normally use FX file manager for this, not the built-in file manager.

Never mind, i installed Android x86 4.4 i have no problem with my External Storage. I'm Sorry i wasn't more specific.
